Last week we got you set up with a personal Pinterest account! You should have made an account, and set up your boards on your homepage!
This week, we will begin with adding a pin to your account! This is a simple step that you will master quickly! I hope you are as excited as I was when I started pinning! Let’s begin with a little vocab and then get started!
Our vocabulary words today are………….!
- Pins are visual bookmarks that you collect on boards. You can save Pins you find on Pinterest or and new ones from your favorite websites.
CREATING YOUR FIRST PIN
Now that you have created a board, you are ready to start pinning! There’s a difference in your original pin, and repinning or liking others’ content. You have probably noticed that Pinterest asked you for five interests! This way, they give you pictures of things to pin that they know you will like!
Here is one way to do a pin!
- One of the simplest methods is to install the Pin It button directly from Pinterest.
This is MY home page. As you can see, I like style, and I am looking at changing up my hair! I love to go with different colors as well as play with new looks, so Pinterest shows me lots of fun things like these! All I need to do is hover my mouse over a picture, and I can select PIN! Viola! You will pick up this tip SUPER QUICK!
If you don’t have a board for the picture you have selected, just start a new board!
